Terminal 2 Location Offers Enhanced Convenience, Amenities, and Proximity
to American's oneworld Alliance Partners
FORT WORTH, Texas, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines, a
founding member of the oneworld(R) Alliance, will soon relocate its operations
in Shanghai, China, from Pudong International Airport's Terminal 1 to Terminal
2. The move is scheduled for March 29, and will greatly improve the level of
comfort and convenience for American's customers.
"In the air or on the ground, American Airlines is dedicated to providing
our customers with a quality travel experience," said Victor Lee, American's
Regional Director - Greater China. "We look forward to having our customers
experience, before and after their flight, the improved convenience of our new
facilities in Shanghai's Terminal 2."
The move also means American will be closer to its oneworld Alliance
partners at Pudong, making connections smoother and faster. In addition, the
larger space at the new location allows separate arrival and departure areas.
American's customers will benefit from more ticket counters, which are
conveniently located near vital access points such as Customs and Immigration,
which will expedite the departure process.
A wide array of services and amenities, including more dining and shopping
options, highlight the enhanced convenience of American's new location in
Terminal 2.
The new location will allow American Airlines premium class customer to
enjoy lounge facilities operated by oneworld member carriers Dragonair and
Cathay Pacific. The lounge seats 218 people and features computers,
televisions and wireless Internet access. Also operating from Terminal 2 are
oneworld partners British Airways, Qantas, and Finnair.
