American Eagle Airlines To Add New Service From St. Louis To Springfield, Mo.
FORT WORTH , Texas – American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add nonstop service between Lambert St. Louis International Airport and Springfield-Branson National Airport beginning April 10.
American Eagle will operate round-trip service between the two cities, using a 37-seat Embraer ERJ-135 regional jet.
“American Eagle is proud to return the AA brand to this route, supplementing our existing Chicago and Dallas/Fort Worth service into and out of Springfield,” American Eagle President Peter Bowler said. “This route is also possible because of the quality work performed by our overnight maintenance team in Springfield, which has grown to 76 employees since we opened our base there 12 years ago.”
“We are really pleased to learn that American Eagle will be reestablishing the route between Springfield and St. Louis,” Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said. “Our tourism industry is thriving and this new flight will be a boost to all of Branson's attractions.”
