Nexos' Anniversary Edition Features Fanny Lu On the Cover As One of the
'Gems of Latin America'
FORT WORTH, Texas, April 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines
Nexos magazine is celebrating its 10th anniversary "Gems of Latin America"
April 1 edition at Bongos Cuban Cafe in the heart of Miami. The 10th
anniversary celebration and free concert features Colombian artist Fanny Lu,
who will also grace the cover of the magazine, available onboard flights to
and from Latin America and select domestic
transcontinental flights.
"This issue gives us an opportunity to celebrate the relationship that
American Airlines has cultivated and sustained with its Spanish-speaking
passengers through the pages of Nexos," said Ana Cristina Reymundo, editor of
Nexos. "Several departments across American's system are collaborating and
contributing to the success of this issue and to tonight's 10th Anniversary
Celebration Concert."
Fanny Lu will appear on the cover and in the issue bedecked in jewels - a
symbol of the many gems Latin America has to offer. Nexos' cover story
features 10 splendid and little-known destinations that are gems throughout
the continent, including: Ushuaia, Argentina; Bahia, Brazil; the islands of
San Andres, Tobago; the country of Belize along the Caribbean route; Easter
Island, Chile; Popayan, Colombia; Margarita Island, Venezuela; Taxco, Mexico;
Iguazu, Paraguay; Lake Titicaca, straddling Bolivia and Peru; and, in a
tribute to the old country, a feature on Valencia, Spain.
"Fanny has been great to work with and it has been a pleasure to watch her
considerable talent take her to stardom," said Juan Rios-manager American
Specialty Sales. "American has played an important role in making that happen
and it has shaped our vision for supporting future up-and-coming Latin
artists."
Nexos, which has featured some of the hottest Latin American artists in
the entertainment industry, also highlights everything from the best travel
destinations - including shopping, dining, spas and resorts - to fitness and
the latest in technology and workplace innovations.
