American Airlines Launches New Austin - Seattle Route
New AA Flight Offers the Only Nonstop Service Between the Two Cities
FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines today opens a convenient new link between the Great Southwest and the Great Northwest as it begins daily nonstop service between Austin, Texas, and Seattle.
American, a founding member of the global oneworld® Alliance, offers the only nonstop service between Austin and Seattle, operating one daily flight in each direction conveniently timed for both business and leisure travelers. American is using 136-seat MD80 aircraft on the route, featuring 16 First Class seats and 120 seats in the Main Cabin.

Seattle becomes the eighth destination served nonstop from Austin by American and its regional affiliates, American Eagle and AmericanConnection®, joining Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Dallas Love Field, Chicago, St. Louis, Raleigh/Durham, Los Angeles and San Jose, Calif.
From Seattle, in addition to the new service to Austin, American provides nonstop flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, New York JFK and St. Louis.
Along with new nonstop service to Seattle, travelers in the Austin area will enjoy upgraded service to both Raleigh/Durham and St. Louis starting today, as American begins flying larger jet aircraft on those routes in place of smaller American Eagle or AmericanConnection regional jets.
On the Austin-Raleigh/Durham route, nonstop service will now be operated once daily with an American Airlines MD80. The Austin-St. Louis route will have two daily flights, one flown with an American MD80, while the other flight will continue to be flown with an AmericanConnection regional jet.
